100th Post

Friday, December 10, 2010

Yes folks, this is my 100th post! I recently celebrated a birthday and have thought and thought about great 100th posts but no great idea or topic has stuck except this one:

Some Things I Have Learned in 27 Years
1. You can drink hot tea without sugar but not coffee.
2. Change is absolute and good.
3. You're never too old to roller skate.
4. Have lots of framed pictures and almost no trinkets.
5. Put everything in writing and have it signed.
6.  Use pepper, rarely use salt.
7.  No matter how much you hated that your mother made you write them, the art of writing thank you notes will never die.
8. Learn to say no in a firm but polite way. It will save you.
9. It's ok if people take you seriously.
10. Always keep on hand, stamps, pens, and bobby pins.
11. Never try to save money on buying cheap toilet paper or Kleenex, trust me. Just get the good stuff.
12. There is a natural cure to almost anything.
13. Long walks (anywhere), grills, outdoor seating, baby wipes, vacations and quiet are never under rated.
14. Dogs can read minds.
15. Excuses are inexcusable.
16. Your actions, small are large, are always remembered by others and/or you. Be careful how you act.
17. Loyalty is the greatest and worst quality.
18. "God will make order out of your mess or make a mess out of your order."
19. Home IS where the heart is.
20.  It's ok to not be friends with everyone.
21. People live what they believe. Watch how people live.
22. We are much more equipped and stronger than we ever imagined to deal with just about anything.
23. Naivety is sweet as a child and dangerous as an adult.
24. The Bible is not about ME.
25. Journal and then throw them away.
26. Listen to the older and wiser. They really do know. LISTEN.
27. Anything IS possible. Know what you want and go get it.

Favorite birthday card this year. A 7 year old drew a picture that sums up my life for the past 27 years.
